The Subject of Kissing in Relationship, Courtship and Marriage

I have dealt with this topic before but the question keeps coming up in nearly all the meetings I hold, and so I want to revisit this issue again.

Is kissing a sin? That is a question on the lips of many young people who are serving God, but cannot seem to keep away from kissing each other as an expression of their love.

True to it, and as a counselor, I know there are many Christians who are doing this regularly. As a young man myself in courtship, I never had jeru trip with my fiancée then, but I kissed her a few times and I really felt guilty about it. In fact, the feeling I had was that the Holy Spirit was grieved at it. So, I am not oblivious of what you are going through exactly.

Now, having been married for some years, about sixteen years, I can tell you, that the strong urge to kiss as singles is just more of the devil trying to trip you than an expression of love! Folks in western countries might find this ridiculous as well, since they are more liberal and they often greet as well with no lust attached. 

Some of us go ahead and quote the scripture to justify this act. Well, in a very a straight forward way, you will never find a scripture that forbids kissing or that says, “thou shall not kiss.” In fact what you find are scriptures that seems to be encouraging kissing, and that in the New Testament!

All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss. (1 Corinthians 16:20 KJV)

Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. (Romans 16:16 KJV)

Doesn’t this mean that God wants us to kiss?

The instruction to kiss that we see in the above verses and in some more places are verses that we have to consider in their cultural contexts.

The Jews usually kiss one another with a kiss, somewhat on the cheek and not a direct mouth-to-mouth kiss or some French kiss!

This is why Judas kissed Jesus Christ. He was just greeting him. It’s like a handshake.

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. (Luke 22:47 KJV)

Kisses with Jews as described above is a form of greeting in their culture, hence Paul termed it as Holy Kissing.

In Nigeria, we don’t kiss one another with a kiss. Hence, the Jewish kiss is holy, but the Nigerian kiss is not holy! In non–Jewish states, a kiss outside wedlock between two people who are in love, behind closed doors will not be holy because it will lead to some unholy things!

The initial kiss might even be holy, but after a while, the law of progression will step in and before you know it, kissing will lead to some other things.

If I come into a meeting with my wife and an usher grabs my wife and plants a kiss on her, I will remove my suit and fight! Why? We don’t greet each other with some mouth-to-mouth kiss! If your handshake dey too long sef, I fit suspect you, not to talk of a kiss!

If you and your fiancée are kissing each other behind the church and as your pastor, I bump into you, who will apologise? It’s you! If as your Pastor, I’m kissing my wife behind the church, and you bump into us, who will still apologise? It is still you! Because we are married!

You see after marriage, if you want to kiss yourself 24 hours a day for the next one month; God is okay with it! Why? Your body belongs to each other! But after marriage, you will know that it is not all about kissing! It is about school fees, and house rent and pampers! You won’t feel like kissing all the time! So why would you want to jeopardise your relationship with God with what you can do as long as you want eventually?

The idea of holding on is where maturity is, and it is all about self-control. This is what separates the boys from the men! Ability to delay gratification!

Young ladies, when a guy comes and says, “let’s kiss,” you don’t submit your lips like you are submitting paper in examination hall. The power of life and death lies in your mouth! If the guy is hungry, why must it be your mouth that he would eat? If he is really hungry, doesn’t he know where they sell Kpomo (treated cowhide) in the market?

For married people, feel free to kiss yourselves! If your spouse loves it, then go ahead and give it! It won’t be a sin!

But for singles, always have this at the back of your mind that when you are in love, what you did with him or her, the last time you met will not satisfy you the next time! It is a law, so you need to consciously guard against that.

Finally, let me say, it is not wise to meet somebody and the next thing is that you are kissing! There are people you kiss, and your jaws are locked. There
are people you kiss, and as it were, you cannot pray again. There are strange mouths you kiss for five minutes, and it leads to regrets for the next five years! There are people you kiss, and your destiny is arrested. If you doubt that, ask Jesus, for it was the kiss of Judas that led to his arrest!

4. CARELESS SLEEPING: Everyone has talk about it on how you sleep in friends house both guys and girls. it is very dangerous because you don't know the devilish one who may have lust-thought about you and get down on your knee.

5. DON'T HAVE BORING MOMENT: Never left alone at home or anywhere feeling boredom, because as you have a boring moment many thought will be coming to your heart and which emotional thought may involved.

6. DON'T TALK TOO MUCH WHEN GISTING: Someone that is talkative, will say lesser truth than lies and she can start boosting and talking about her virginity things among friends just to justify herself.

7. SELF-PRAISE: Boosting among your friends that "For me, no guys has ever sleep with me" this is self praise, trust me no matter how your friends loves you, once this happens you are opened for set-up

8. YOUR MIND SET MUST BE OF POSITIVE: You thought must be of positive, and never imagine a act of lust in your mind.

Radio Presenter and Journalist Pye revealed - 10 Reasons Why You're not Feeling S*x

S*x S*x S*x... It is important to talk about s*x. I found out that majority of us are not feeling s**y or s*x, if I can just put it straight, but the most important is to know why we are not feeling s*x anymore then it would pave way to find a lasting solution to the problem

1. You Have Insomnia: Simply put, "you're not going to feel horny if you don't get enough sleep," Laurie Mintz, a professor of counseling psychology at the University of Florida and author of "A Tired Woman's Guide to Passionate S*x" told HuffPost. More serious, persistent sleep problems like insomnia -- which can be short- or longterm and is characterized by trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or both -- can take a particularly heavy toll.

2. You've Grappled With Infertility: More often than not, infertility is a wrenching experience for both partners, and one that can influence s*xual desire for months, or even years. When couples struggle to have a baby, it's typical for s*x to become highly scheduled and goal-oriented, Mintz said, and goal-oriented s*x tends to be less pleasurable. After long stretches of trying to conceive, the feeling of "I want something really badly and my body is failing me" becomes wrapped up in s*x and s**ual 

3. Someone Cheated:  "After an affair, it's really hard for many people to have s*x and not think, 'You did this with someone else,'" Mintz explained. It's not atypical for women to have s*x issues after being cheated on and finding out about it, or after they themselves cheat (whether or not their partner knows). "After a woman has an affair, there can be guilt and stress and even fear of, 'If I do this differently [during s*x], they'll figure it out.'" she added

4. You're A New Mom: There are plenty of reasons why, as a new mom, you might have zilch going on in the se*ual desire arena. First, there's sheer exhaustion, Mintz said, but there are also hormonal changes that come with pregnancy and birth, and then there's the task of getting used to your body in its new form. Plus, some women can experience vaginal dryness while breastfeeding.

5. Your Thyroid's Off: Whenever she sees a female client who recently experienced a sudden onset of low se*ual desire, Mintz sends her to get her thyroid checked. The thyroid gland, which is located in the front of the neck, secretes several key hormones and can influence a person's s*x life (male or female) if it's too active, or not active enough

6. You're Taking Meds: Oftentimes, women don't realize that certain medications are altering their se*ual desire and performance, Mintz said. Hormonal birth control is a biggie -- a major study from 2010 that looked at se*ual function in more than 1,000 women found that those who were on hormonal birth control had lower levels of desire and arousal than those who were not

7. You're Insecure About Your Body: "About 10 to 20 percent of my clients have body image issues that sabotage their s*x lives," Amy Levine, a s*x coach and founder of Ignite Your Pleasure once said. Though men certainlyhave body insecurities, she tends to see more females than males who come to her struggling with body image. Many see not having s*x as a way to hide body parts they feel insecure about. And that, in turn, can lead to overall diminished desire, Levine said.

8. You've Gone Through A Big Hormone Change: Hormonally-speaking, women generally experience some pretty big highs and lows throughout the their lives, and those swings can have all sorts of effects. For many women, menopause can lead to a drop in se*ual desire, as the body produces less estrogen. (Although, as Mintz explained, some menopausal women report that their s*x drive actually increases.) And the aforementioned new mom-hood can be 

9. Stagnation: Stagnation can mean many things when it comes to s*x. Physical stagnation, or lack of movement, can take a toll on libido, Levine said. "It's important to move your body and get energy flowing," she explained, adding that although few scientific studies have addressed the connection between general movement and s*x, it's easy to see how oxygenating the body and getting blood flowing, through yoga or a movement class can allow "tingly sensations to activate your 

10. Your Partner's Technique: "If you're regularly having s*x and aren't ending up satisfied, you're not going to be very motivated to keep doing it," Mintz said. Surveys suggest that up to 70 percent of women have faked orgasms at one point or another, which -- as countless women's magazines have counseled -- can be problematic, because it leads your partner to believe (falsely) that what he or she is doing gets you there. One Direction Are Triple Winners At 2014 American Music Awards

One Direction had a night to remember at the 2014 American Music Awards on Sunday after walking away with a trio of top honours, including Artist of the Year.
The British/Irish stars claimed the first prize of the Los Angeles event for Favorite Band, Duo Or Group – Pop/Rock and then added Favorite Pop/Rock Album for Midnight Memories and Artist of the Year, just hours after learning its new release Four had hit the top of the U.K. albums chart.
Accepting the first title, Liam Payne told the audience, “It’s been a real perfect (sic) day for us, our album’s just come out and we got a number one in the U.K. and now we’re stood here with an AMA.
“It’s absolutely amazing… America feels like a second home to us now, it’s been amazing how well we’ve been received out here so thank you so, so much.”
Katy Perry was also a triple winner – she and Sam Smith reigned supreme as the favorite pop/rock solo artists, with the Firework hitmaker accepting her award in a pre-taped speech from Australia, where she is currently on tour. She also claimed Single of the Year for Dark Horse and Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist.
Iggy Azalea, who led the nominees with six, only walked away with two trophies after beating Drake and Eminem in both the rap/hip-hop categories for best artist and best album for her debut The New Classic.
Music legend Diana Ross was on hand to pay tribute to “the beautiful and talented” Taylor Swift, who she branded “a true superstar” as she presented the 24 year old with the inaugural Dick Clark Award for Excellence, an accolade named after beloved late TV and radio host Dick Clark.
Paying back the compliments in her acceptance speech, Swift said, “I’m so blown away to have just received an award from Diana Ross who, just over the course of her career, stood up for herself in a time when it was not popular for a woman to stand up for herself. I’m so honored. Thank you for coming, you’re beautiful.

How To Stop Snoring And Sleep Well Again (Scientifically Proven)

Most people don’t get enough sleep at night. For many people being sleep deprived means not functioning as well as they could be, but for millions of other people lack of sleep is a sign of a serious health condition.

People who are suffering from exhaustion, high blood pressure and inexplicable headaches are all showing symptoms of a sleep disorder called obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Why don’t people with OSA get the sleep that they need every night? The answer may surprise you—it’s snoring!

Snoring causes a person to wake up throughout the night. For most, snoring is simply a case of having to move your body from a bad position into one that’s more comfortable to breathe in. But for the 18 million people in the United States suffering from OSA, snoring is their body’s cry for help. Throughout the night people with OSA literally stop breathing.  They stop breathing because the muscles in their mouth, jaw, and throat relax, blocking the free flow of air in the airway. These moments of suffocation can last for up to an entire minute. A person with OSA wakes up hundreds of times during a single night as their bodies try not to suffocate. Snoring is their body’s only way to get enough air to breathe.

The result is that when people with OSA get out of bed in the morning, they feel like they haven’t slept at all. And it’s true—they have not had a full sleep cycle. Not only are their bodies exhausted, they have opened up an entire range of new health problems that are associated with this extreme sleep loss, including heart attacks, depression, strokes, memory loss, acid reflux and diabetes.

In the past, there weren’t that many treatment options available for people with sleep apnea. RED ALERT: BOMB BLAST HITS POTISKUM, YOBE STATE, NORTH-EAST NIGERIA

A bomb blast has just  hit Potiskum, Yobe State in North-Eastern Nigeria.

The blast went off at a Senior Science Secondary School, Potiskum. Armed military forces have moved in and cordoned off the area although the casualty figure is not known yet.

A new study by dating website (eHarmony) has identified the five stages of love as butterflies, building, assimilation, honesty and stability.

Participants in the study were asked to complete a psychological test to determine their true feelings. They were asked questions about their behaviour and lifestyle, in order to uncover the impact love has on a person’s health at each stage.

Psychologist, Dr Linda Papadopoulos, who assisted with the study, said the different stages of love impacted on our health, causing weight loss, a lack of sleep and raised stress levels.

The chief executive of tech giant, Apple (Timothy D. Cook)has announced that he is “proud to be gay” in an essay published earlier yesterday (Thursday, October 30), making him the most prominent executive of a public company to come out.

Mr. Cook (53) had never spoken publicly about his sexual orientation in the many years he has worked in the spotlight at Apple.

In his essay, Mr. Cook also noted that he had spent much of his life trying to keep his personal matters private, which is why he had not previously spoken in public about his sexual orientation.
