The explosion occurred at a Senior Science Secondary School in Potiskum. Armed military forces have moved in and cordoned off the area, although the casualty figure is not yet known.
We strongly advise all personnel within and around this area to exercise extreme caution.
We will keep you updated as the situation unfolds but advise that there is no cause for alarm.
