Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Addresses Divorce Proceedings with Anita

anita oyakhilome anger problem
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has spoken about the ongoing divorce proceedings with his wife, Anita Oyakhilome. According to sources, Pastor Chris mentioned during a recent meeting with key church leaders that the decision to file for divorce stemmed from a power struggle between them.

Pastor Chris explained that when he started Christ Embassy, Anita was not involved, and he invited her to help him rather than take over. Over time, she became agitated by some of his leadership decisions.

In a previous leadership meeting, Pastor Chris addressed concerns about the domestic issue with his wife, stating that it affects those under her leadership. He emphasized that Christ Embassy is not an organization for airing personal opinions but a vision they started together.

Pastor Chris also mentioned that his wife keeps friends who bring out negative traits in her instead of supporting her vision as the wife of a global pastor. He expressed that bitterness is prolonged anger and noted that allegations against him are either false or twisted information.

Efforts were made by church elders to reconcile with Anita, but she reportedly did not give them a chance to speak with her. This situation has led Pastor Chris to seek guidance on how to proceed with his marital life.

The source indicated that Pastor Chris may need a wife after over a year of separation from Anita. It is hoped that the situation will be resolved amicably

Suspected Robbers Claim They Pray Before Every Operation

Four members of a robbery gang arrested by the Lagos State Police Command have stated that they usually pray to God before any operation. One of the suspects, Mutalubi Abdullahi, explained that the prayer was to ensure that only those they considered 'guilty' would be targeted, while the 'innocent' would be spared.

Abdullahi, along with Ismaila Moruf, Opeyemi Akinyemi, and Sarah Emmanuel, were arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad for robbing early morning pedestrians and motorists in the Mile 2 area of Lagos State.

The gang, which operated on commercial motorcycles (okada), used three locally-made guns in their operations. According to the police, Emmanuel allegedly supplied two of the three guns, which have been recovered by the authorities.

The suspects were arrested from their respective hideouts in Iyana Iyesi, Sango Ota, Ogun State, and also operated in the Agege, Isolo, and Oshodi areas

Man Arrested After Abandoning Bride at Ikoyi Marriage Registry and Escaping with Her Money

A 45-year-old man, Uzor Emmanuel, is currently in police detention after abandoning a woman, Victoria Adeleye, at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos, and escaping with her four million naira.

Emmanuel, a married father of three, proposed to Victoria a few months ago. On the day of their wedding, he left her at the court premises and fled with her money. The wedding was subsequently called off following Emmanuel’s disappearance.

Friends of the couple, who attended the wedding ceremony, were shocked as marriage officials canceled the wedding. According to a source, the relationship between Adeleye and Emmanuel began after they met at a church in Isolo. Unknown to Adeleye, Emmanuel was already married with three children. He told her he was single and needed to marry as he was getting older.

Adeleye, eager to find a husband, showed interest and became close to Emmanuel. After a short courtship, Emmanuel proposed, and she accepted. He moved into Adeleye’s flat in Aswani, Isolo, where they lived together without the knowledge of their pastor and church members.

To formalize their relationship, Emmanuel suggested they go to court to consummate the marriage legally. Adeleye agreed and provided the money for the marriage arrangements. On the wedding day, Emmanuel excused himself and left the registry, fleeing with her money.

Emmanuel was later arrested following a tip-off. He confessed to having a wife and children and admitted he was only interested in Adeleye’s money. He was charged before the Isolo Magistrate’s Court for obtaining under false pretenses and stealing under the Criminal Code. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum. He is currently remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos, pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till October 2, 2014, for trial

Getting Married Young: The Habits You Need To Outgrow Before You Say ‘I Do

Getting Married Young: Habits to Outgrow Before Saying ‘I Do’

Some of us may not be ready to tie the knot and walk down the aisle because we still have some growing up to do. Our priorities need to shift from wanting to sleep in late to wanting to share our lives with someone else. Embracing immaturity is okay for a while, but there comes a time when we need to develop more adult qualities to reach life's later milestones.

If you're looking to get married, here are some habits you might need to outgrow:

Lying

Honesty is crucial in a relationship. It's important to learn to tell the truth rather than resorting to lies, even small ones.
Excessive Drinking

Behaving responsibly with alcohol is important. Being overly intoxicated can negatively impact your relationship and important events.
Laziness

Taking initiative and showing appreciation through actions, like planning special dates or helping out when needed, is essential in a relationship.
Over-Sharing on Social Media

While sharing moments is fine, it's important not to rely on social media validation for your relationship's legitimacy.
Over-Dependence on Parents

It's important to establish independence from your parents and focus on building a life with your partner.
Inability to Share

Being willing to share and make sacrifices for your partner is a key part of a healthy relationship.
Self-Importance

Compromise and considering your partner's needs are vital in marriage. It's about balancing both partners' needs and desires.
Frat Mentality

Moving past college habits and focusing on more mature behaviors will help in building a strong marriage.
Playing Games

Commitment and honesty are crucial. If you're not ready for these, it might be best to wait before getting married.
Holding onto Exes

Fully committing to your spouse means letting go of past relationships.
Complaining

Constructive communication is key. Constant complaining can lead to unresolved issues and tension.
Indecision

Being decisive and clear about your intentions is important in a committed relationship.
Jealousy and Snooping

Trust is fundamental in any relationship. Letting go of jealousy and trusting your partner is essential for a healthy marriage.

  • There Are Too Many Snakes Inside Sambisa Forest

Reports indicate that Boko Haram terrorists are fleeing the Sambisa Forest due to an increase in snake bites and alleged spiritual attacks. The terrorists claim that the people of Chibok, whom they previously attacked, have turned into snakes and are now retaliating.

Two terrorists who fled the forest were arrested in Maiduguri. Kolo Mustapha and Umar Abor shared their experiences:

“Most of us are fleeing because there are too many snakes now in the forest. Once they bite, they disappear, and the victims do not last 24 hours. We were told that the people of Chibok local government are the ones turning into snakes and attacking us in the forest,” Mustapha said.

A Stressful Marriage Can dispatch You: See 9 Strategies for Coping

A Stressful Marriage Can Affect Your Health: See 9 Strategies for Coping

Talk Openly About Your Feelings and Emotions:

In times of stress, most people's tendency is to keep everything bottled up inside or explode with the slightest disagreement. However, this approach will not work if you want your marriage to survive and thrive. In successful marriages, couples talk about everything. They trust each other, rely on each other’s good judgment, and depend on each other for truth and straight talk. They share insights about everything — the good, the bad, and the ugly. They are each other’s best friends.
Approach Financial Challenges with Teamwork and Open Communication:

Balancing the family budget requires teamwork, especially when you face burdens like aging parents, children, or even unemployment. You and your partner must have common goals to effectively deal with financial stress. People in love support each other through thick and thin, through tough times and uncertainty. If you don’t work together to address the economic challenges of your relationship, there is little hope of success.
Don’t Blame Each Other When Things Get Tough:

The blame game doesn’t work in love and marriage and is destructive. There is a natural tendency in tough times to blame the one you love for your collective misfortune and stress, but people in love don’t blame, castigate, or chastise each other in challenging times. The truth is, there usually is no one to blame for most situations. Someone has to take care of the stresses of marriage, and the job just fell to you and your spouse.
Don’t Wallow in Self-Pity:

No problem has ever been solved by feeling sorry for yourself or your situation. It is a wasted emotion. Successful couples grab "the bull by the horns" and work toward solutions. They recognize that running a household is not easy. Making a family work is difficult even in the best of times and even more challenging when you have many stressors to deal with.
Keep the Flame of Your Love Affair Alive:

Make a concerted effort to keep the flame of your love affair alive with each other every day. Prioritize making time for fun and romance with each other in your hectic lives. Carve out time to have a romantic date, bring home flowers, get a hotel room, go for a long walk together, drink a bottle of wine, watch the sunset, write a love note, or even just snuggle in bed a little longer in the morning.
Provide Each Other Occasional Time for Privacy and Aloneness:

The recognition of the absolute need for privacy and aloneness is critical to successful marriages. The amount of time available to satisfy these two needs varies between couples and can increase during times of stress. We live such hectic lives at work and at home that the time to be alone with our own thoughts is paramount to our ability to engage in any meaningful communication with each other. The quality of your communication will improve after you've refreshed your mind and spirit with alone time. You have to belong to yourself before you can belong to others.
Remember That the "Simple Things Matter" in Marriage:

Thirty-two years of research on love and successful marriage has taught us many things, but first and foremost that no love has blossomed or been sustained without doing the "simple things." Big things don’t matter until your relationship has mastered the art of doing the simple things day in and day out in your relationship with the one you love. Too often when we are engaged in stressful life situations, we forget to just do the "simple things" for the one we love the most. Try engaging in simple acts of kindness, like spontaneous feel-good moments, sharing a shower together, and hugging often. Simple acts of kindness add up.
Develop a Network of Support from Family, Friends, and Relatives:

You and your spouse do not have to deal with the stress all by yourself. Solicit support from family, aunts, uncles, or neighbors. Don’t be shy about asking for help. Don’t be deluded into thinking you can or even should do it alone. Your friends and family want to support you through thick and thin. Take full advantage of their willingness to help.
Prioritize Staying Healthy and Happy:

Staying healthy and happy, both physically and mentally, should be the highest priority for both you and your spouse. Engage in a daily exercise program. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, take your vitamins and any prescription medications. And don’t forget your annual physical exams. It is nearly impossible to take care of others when you don’t take care of yourself.
Dealing with the many stressors in your marriage and in life can be a real challenge. Dealing with them effectively could not only save your marriage but save your life.

HIGHWAY OF MEEKNESS (SEASON 2)

MEEKNESS AND YOUR MARRIAGE

Good character is essential for a marriage to be successful. Money can facilitate the building of a house but only godly attributes can keep a home. Since meekness is said to be mother of good character, you can then imagine how despicable one would be without meekness.
If your marriage must be successful, you must be meek and gentle.
Before any divorce can take place, uncontrollable anger, malice, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, stubborness, vengeance or rigidity must have taken root.
These caterpillars have the capacity to destroy any home irrespective of its initial strength or age. The good news is that they all bow in the presence of the spirit of meekness. Meekness will ensure your marriage is failure proof. If your husband beat you. commit him into the hand of the spirit of meekness, while checking whether you are truly meek. A quarrelsome and stubborn woman receives beating from her equally stubborn husband.
