WAITING ON GOD TO REMARRY....... ELESHO (Nollywood Artist)

Elesho

WHOEVER has a one-on-one encounter with Yoruba actor, Adewale Adeoye, popularly called Elesho, will not leave without having some of his ‘ribs’ craked at least for the time the meeting lasts. The CEO (Marital Solution & World Research group on facebook) discovered on Saturday that the popular actor is so talented than even on the telephone, the caller is bound to laugh his or her heart out.

For instance, while recalling when he started acting, Elesho says it so long ago that he cannot exactly remember either the year or date. He states, “The time I started acting is getting old by the day. But asking me to remember the exact year is akin to asking me about the person I sat with when I was in the primary school. Is it the leg, face or head that I will recall with the many people in my class then?”

He however discloses that he actually learnt acting from a man named Femi Olukoga, otherwise called Baba Kudi, way back in Ilorin, Kwara State. Elesho explains that he will not deny the fact that it was from the man he learnt the acting tricks which he fine-tuned to extend the frontiers of his trade. I commenced acting when celluloid was the in-thing, with films such as Taxi Driver by Ade Love, Omo Orukan by Adebayo Salami and Ayanmo and Jaiyesinmi, produced by Herbert Ogunde and many others. When home video came, I adjusted to its demands and here we are today by God’s grace, “he says.

According to the actor, he has three women who mean so much to him. They are indeed, his three ‘mothers’. The first he identifies as his biological mother, the second his late wife and third his children. He adds that he has children, both male and female, who make him proud. Elesho’s wife died some years ago. Yet he is not in a hurry to re-marry. But is he not under pressure from women considering his fame as an established actor? The dramatist noted that there is no such thing from women only that he is taking his time.

He adds, “Any man who says women or ladies are disturbing him is not being sincere with himself. The opposite sex will be on their own, it is we the men who will go out to disturb them. I am considering remarrying and waiting on God for direction.” He also says he has never relented in acting comedy, which is his favourite. Recently , he starred in movies such as Abule Meco, Kofo Tinubu and  Gboju Nbe which is in two parts. Elesho further states that he is currently release a new film, Ale Mi oni Buru, which is rushing in the market for sales. On piracy and some other problems confronting the industry, the dramatist says even though stakeholders always work on how to tackle piracy; it is only God that can help them because the issue is complicated.

He states, “We wish something like a thunderstorm will just occur and strike those people who feed fat on out intellectual property. We work very hard and they want to reap where they do not sow. We try to cope regardless of whenever problems we face as movie makers and actors.”

But whenever you try his mobile number and you are thrilled by the music of Prince Adekunle about his having three friends, with one asking three friends, with one asking him to sleep on the mat, the other on the floor and the last one on his chest, do not think Elesho is using the ringtone to talk about any friend in particular.

I am not having bitterness about any friend or indicating anything. It so happens that I like Prince Adekunle’s music so much. So, using that particular song as a ringtone is a way of thrilling myself and my callers as a loyal fan of the great singer.”
